Terms of Service
Beta — last updated July 14, 2026.
StickBuild is a software tool for designing stick-built lumber projects in 3D. We’re currently in private beta. By using StickBuild you agree to the terms below. These are short on purpose; a full set will replace them once the product hardens.
1. What StickBuild gives you
Access to the editor, materials list, and any other features we ship during the beta. We may add, change, or remove features without notice while the beta runs.
2. Design tool, not an engineering service
Built at your own risk. StickBuild helps you sketch, size, and price out projects — it is not an engineering service, not a permit application, and not a substitute for professional judgment. Simple non-structural work (a raised garden bed, a small deck rail, a planter box) is usually fine to build from what you sketch here. Complex or safety-critical builds are a different story: roofs, retaining walls, tall decks, load-bearing framing, anything with a live-load rating, and anything a permit inspector will review should be signed off by a licensed contractor or structural engineer before you cut lumber. Cut lists, span guidance, and structural callouts are informational — always verify against your local building code. We assume no liability for the safety, code compliance, or structural integrity of anything built using plans generated here.
3. Your account and content
You own the designs you create. We store them so you can come back to them later, and so you can share them with people you invite. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share. We may remove projects that violate the law or these terms.
4. Pricing
StickBuild is free during the beta. Paid tiers turn on when we wire payments; pricing will be announced before that happens and you won’t be charged without explicitly agreeing.
5. Termination
You can stop using StickBuild any time. We may suspend or end accounts for abuse, breach of these terms, or to wind down a feature. We’ll give you a chance to export your work unless the suspension is for safety or legal reasons.
6. Liability
StickBuild is provided “as is” during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the tool.
7. Changes
We may update these terms while the beta runs. Material changes will be flagged on the sign-in screen. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
